The event currency

The gold token is a separate currency from gold coins. It cannot be farmed - it is only handed out for things you win.

Where they come from

Events - every event pays in tokens. See Events.
Svargrond Arena - the arena also pays out, and the harder the challenge the more you get. See Svargrond Arena.

What they buy

Find the Greedy Goblin and say addon. He trades any addon for 50 gold tokens, and the addon works immediately - no NPC quest, no collecting hides.

Say addon or list and he will tell you what he has. He will refuse politely if you already own the one you asked for.

Worth knowing

Tokens are an ordinary item in your backpack, so they can be traded between players and they can be looted from your corpse if you die carrying them. Bank what you are not spending.
