Why you need this client

This server does not run on the plain Tibia client and no IP changer will help. Our Tibia.dat and Tibia.spr carry graphics merged in from 8.6, so hundreds of items exist here that the original 7.72 client has never heard of. Connect with anything else and you will see the wrong pictures, or none at all.

How to start playing

1. Download the archive above and unpack it wherever you like - it creates a folder called Vetusia. There is no installer.
2. Open that folder and run Vetusia.exe. The server is already set - you will not be asked for an IP.
3. Log in with your account. If you do not have one yet, register here first.

Updating happens by itself

You only download this archive once. From then on the client checks for changes every time it starts and pulls down whatever is new before you log in - so when a sprite or a script changes on our side, you fetch a few kilobytes rather than the whole package again.

Your own files are never touched: settings, the remembered account and your minimap discoveries live outside the update and are left alone.

The archive above is refreshed together with the update service, so a fresh download and an updated client always end up identical.
