A new client package is available, and this time you have to download it by hand.

The automatic updater could not deliver this one, because the fix is inside the updater itself. Everyone needs to grab the package once - after that, updates will work on their own again.

What was broken

The resource package shipped with the client outranked everything the updater downloaded. Your client kept fetching new files and then quietly ignored them, over and over. One player downloaded the 57 MB sprite file 33 times without ever using it.

If you have been wondering why nothing changed on your end since the 8th of September - that is why. Nobody was getting updates.

A second bug stopped the update halfway through on any file with a space in its name. Between the two, the client had no way to ever catch up.

What you need to do

Download the package from the Downloads page

Unpack it over your old Vetusia folder, or anywhere you like

Run Vetusia.exe - that is all

Your settings are safe. Account, hotkeys, interface layout and your explored minimap are stored separately and will not be touched. You are only replacing the program and its resources.

Playing on a Mac? There is a separate download for you on the same page. It contains the two files your client needs, with a short guide on where to put them inside the application bundle.
